Advanced Training Program

Aljaber Trading and Contracting Co., W.L.L. devotes itself to continual improvement by conducting appropriate trainings & seminars with all our departments and projects to advance the skill levels and competency of all our employees.

JTC is committed to elevating employee capabilities and knowledge, provide a healthy and safe working environment for its workforce and promote business advancement skills through various training programs such as Project Management, Site Management and Supervision, (Fidic) International Contracts, Quality Assurance and Quality Control, Health and Safety, and Environment.

 

 

Project Management Essential Training Program

The Project Management Essential training program has covered all 5 processes of project management and the basics of PM 9.

The five processes of Project Management are introduced as follows along with an introduction to project management and methodology.

* Initiation
* Planning
* Execution
* Monitor & Control
* Closing

 
 

FIDIC Training Program

JTC have also introduced FIDIC (International Contracts) which is recognized worldwide as the standard basis for contracts aimed to lessen, and ultimately eliminate contractual issues and disputes as a result of miscommunication, misunderstanding and misinterpretation.

FIDIC (International Contracts)

Contracts shall be governed by the law of the country that the company resides in or within its jurisdiction. The FIDIC training program was conducted with the following as topics of discussion:

* Letter of Acceptance
* Contract Agreement
* Particular Conditions
* Specifications
* General Conditions
* Letter of Tender
* Drawings
* Schedules

 
 

Site Managment And Supervision Training Program

JTC provides training to support its site personnel and teach them on finding the best way to monitor and control projects from an advanced level. The following topics were covered the training program.               

* Planning
* Scheduling
* Organizing
* Directing
* Controlling

 
 

Quality Engineering training:

The training, conducted by Development Department Manager and Management Representative Eng. Rawhey El Dabagh was held from August 16 to 18, 2008 at the Merweb Hotel, Doha, Qatar.

17 participants from site project management comprised of projects engineers, site engineers and QA/QC engineers attended the training which covered the following points of discussions:

*Construction process.
*Quality concepts and vocabulary.
*Codes and standards.
*SMART Objectives.
*Control of documents.
*Quality Control / team responsibilities.
*Problem solving.
*Corrective and Preventive actions.
*Method statements.
*Root cause analysis.
*QA/QC Work procedures / work instruction and site forms.
*Construction inspection and testing.

 

 

Overview of human resource management:

A training was conducted by Dr. Rima Shaar (member of the Society for Human Resources Management since year 2000) from the 24th to 26th of November 2008 at the JTC Conference Hall. Participants from the HR department benefited from the training which covered the following topics of discussion:

*Defining the concept of Human resource management.
*Identifying the HR management functions.
*Describing the type of Human Resource practitioners.
*Explaining the roles of Human Resource in organizations.
*Clarifying the importance of job analysis.
*Analyzing the organizational context from external.
*Recognizing the value of HR professional.

The training provided the participants a better understanding of human resources management, business policy and strategy. It covered both the design and execution of human resource management strategies focusing on two central ideas: first, how to think systematically and strategically about aspects of managing the organization’s human assets and second what really needs to be done to implement these policies and to achieve competitive advantage.
